Research Sites

The forest canopy is where life meets the atmosphere, and where a tremendous proportion of the earth's biodiversity resides. It is where urgently needed research directly related to two of the most pressing environmental challenges facing society -- global warming and biodiversity loss -- can be carried out. Such research is required of governments who are signatories to major conventions on these issues. Forest loss and conversion is shortening the opportunity for vital basic and applied research in this area.
